Oatman, AZ Part II

One of the casinos in Laughlin NV.

Bullhead City as seen from the Nevada side.

Signs we saw along the way.

We're headed back to Bullhead City.

Some more of the shops.

Here's another young one.

I got behind these belts and away from him.

We got us some ice cream popsicles and I had one in my hand and the camera in the other and one of the donkies nudged me on the hip, trying to get my ice cream, I guess. It kind of scared me a little cuz I didn't know what he would do. I quickly got away.

Notice some of the store names.

They have their own post office.

A little history about Oatman.

There was some extra parking down the road.

Second part of my Oatman posting. There were some cute little burros also.

Oatman, AZ Part I

When I was trying to upload my pictures I didn't have very good internet service so it took me a while and it also went out before I could finish so I'm doing a part II of this posting.

Some of the stores.

The burros is what attracts the people into this little town.

This burros is pretty smart. He stayed half way in the store to get that cool air for most of the time we were there.

Everybody pets the burros and a lot of picture taking.

Oatman is a cute little old town with cute stores. It's just a one street town.
They were just everywhere it seemed.

And here are the burros they told us about. We would have been disappointed if we hadn't seen the burros, afterall that was what this trip was all about.

The fire department.

There were a few old houses up on top of some hills close to the rocks.

Oh!!!! I guess there is a little town after all.

Another sign and no sign of the burros. We saw some buildings here and there and we thought that was the town and there were no more burros.

Here's another sign that says Oatman so we started looking for the burros but we didn't see any anywhere insight.

Different kind of rocks or mountains.

It was a different kind of scenery.

This road looked a whole lot better. It's still in the middle of nowhere but its a much better road.

When we were in California, our friends told us to be sure and go to Oatman when we got to Bullhead City, AZ. They said it was a fun little town with burros all over the town. We headed on to Oatman but our gps was taking us a different direction. We saw the sign that said Oatman but it was a gravel road down the middle of the desert so we went on for a few miles and decided that we didn't like that road and so we went back and headed a different direction. This road was bumpy and curvy and it seemed like it would go nowhere.
