CA to AZ/Bullhead City

A few of the casinos at Laughlin. I left a little of my money at one of them. I'm sorry, I left a little of Tommy's money there. I don't have any money, I keep forgetting that.

This is the entry to all the casinos, it seems.
This is the sign on the Nevada side just across the river.

Another sign at the Arizona, Nevada border.

This is the view of Laughlin, NV from our park.

And this is our spot. This is a really nice park except that at this time of year it is really too hot. The temperature was 114 degrees. We stayed a couple of days and couldn't stand the heat so we left before our time was up. We couldn't keep our airconditions going because of the heat.

The driveway to the park where we stayed.

This is the sign at the resort where we stayed. Across the road from the park is Laughlin, NV. It looks like a small version of Las Vegas. At night it looked beautiful from our spot at the park. It is all lit up.

Here's one of their signs. They had a few different signs around the area.

Bullhead City AZ is our next stop.

We finally got to Needles CA and as you can see they do have diesel. We stopped at a service station to fuel up and diesel was pretty expensive, but then we never know how much it would be down the road and if we can get into the service stations. Anyway we got our fuel and left and probably a mile down the road into AZ, the fuel was a dollar less per gallon. I just don't understand how people can do that. They probably get their fuel from the same distributor. Oh Well!!!

And again the terrain is a little different.

He's resting his hands on his legs.

We stopped at this roadside park after we left Barstow.

And here we are at Barstow.

We were going to stop overnight at Boron because some friends told us they normally stop there but when we passed by there, they were doing construction so the park was closed. So we went on to Barstow.

And then there's bunches of these electric turbines in the middle of nowhere.

There's two different trains here going at the same time in opposite directions.

I thought this train looked a little different. It just kind of looks like a giant snake in the desert.

And just as sudden it starts growing trees, not big trees, but enough to show alot of green on the hills and roadways. It's just really amazing.

Then all of a sudden it starts growing rocks all over the place.

It just seemed like right outside of Bakersfield CA when we turned off the Interstate, the terrain was so very different all of a sudden. As far as you could see it looked like this. Miles and miles of desert, windey and sometimes long stretches of straight roads, up the hill and down the hill kind of thing. I've never been to Saudi Arabia but to me this is what I think it must be like.

Visiting With My Cousins At Reedley, CA

This was just down the road. They were harvesting grapes.

Back of the house.

Back side of the house. These are peach trees and that is somebody else's property.

Other side of the house.

One side of the house.

My cousin's house.

This is where we stayed at my cousin's walnut farm. There were walnut trees and peach trees all around us.

Me with 5 of my cousins.

My cousins set up this dinner so they could all get together and we could all see and visit with each other. We had a good time. My cousins are a family of 10. They all kind of live close by except for 2 of them that live in Bakersfield and I didn't get to see them.

My cousin and Tommy. My cousins kids in the background. This is my cousin that lives here. Thank you so very much for letting us stay at your place and for setting it up so we could get together. We really do appreciate it and really enjoyed it, its too bad its always too short, but we must move on.

My cousin and her husband.

My cousin and my other cousin's husband.

My cousin and her daughter.

Well here we are at my cousins at Reedley. My cousin and his wife.

Barns again.

Boy, we made it to Sacramento pretty quick.

At the park at Marysville.

Down the road.

There are some RVs in those trees.
