Mt. Baker

As we were coming into our park. Good Nite. Stay tune to go to Mt. St. Helen.

When we started up the mountain we didn't realize how far we were going and how we would get there. I thought we had plenty of gas and it was suppose to be maybe 50 or more miles so 3/4 of a tank of gas would take us a long way, so no problem. As we were almost at the very top I noticed that we were getting pretty low and it kind of got scary cause we had to go all the way down and didn't know just how far that way. There were no service stations either. I guess the climbing up took more gas than usual. We started down and I knew that even after my fuel light came on we still had about 20 more miles that we could go, nevertheless it was risky. Tommy coasted a little of the way when he could. We made it back and fueled up at the first service station we saw. It's a good thing we weren't in the coach. Next time we go up a mountain we're going to be sure that our fuel tank is full. Guess who got the blame for that? Sometimes you just have to have a little excitement in your life and that's what I was trying to do.

A lake with beautiful reflections of the trees and building.

This is the lift station where you can get on the lift to the top so you can go skiing.

Another view.

They are going down from the mountain. There's a few levels where you can see the road from the top.

Another view from another level as we're going up. This is where the visitor center was located.

This is the glacier.

Another view with a beautiful lake at a bottom level from the mountain.

I thought the daiseys along the way were pretty.

Along the way we saw quite a few flowers.

Another view as we go up.

The Glacier at the top of the mountain.

One view of the mountain.

Going up to to the mountain was a continuous climbing. This is the road that we had just climbed so you can tell that we were up pretty high.

A waterfall on the way to the mountain.

On our way to Mt Baker in Washington State.
