Back Into Canada

This was part of the landscape at a business as we were coming into a town.

Another picture with the sun trying to come through.

This was a beatiful sight. Tommy took this picture, I was driving. Tommy takes a lot of pictures with mirrors, visors, wipers and other things if you know what I mean. Sometimes I do too.

So once again it looks like we'll be out of the construction zone for a little while.

Another bridge that they are working on.

I like to take pictures of curves on the roadway and there are a bunch of them. Some of them have beautiful scenery around them and some of them have construction.

Also when we came back into Canada, I did a lot of driving and I'm the one who takes most of the pictures so we're not going to have as many pictures from now on.

Here we are at the Canadian border. We didn't hook up our car for about 80 miles because we knew there would be some bad roads with lots of gravel. As you can see Tommy is trying to back up. When he came by there nobody came to the window so he was just going to go through and suddenly somebody came out and he had to back up but we didn't have any problem going through.

This was hard to get used to. The speed and miles were in Kilometres so we always had to be watching our speed. I think the highest speed limit was 100 kilometres which was about 62 miles an hours.

And down the Yukon Territory we go.

Here I am with one foot in Alaska and one foot on the Yukon.

We didn't take a picture together as we were going into Alaska so we took one coming out.

When we were coming out of Alaska, we noticed that there are hundreds of RVers coming in. I'm glad its them and not us. They have got a long way to go. At the time we were at the Alaskan border we had gone about 6500 miles from our starting time in Texas on May 18th.

This is US customs and of course we didn't have to stop here on our way out of Alaska.

They've got all kinds of equipment out in the middle of nowhere in the mountains.

They are trying to rebuild a bridge so they had to cut a road around it.

Beautiful scenery in between all the construction.

After getting fuel, dumping and filling up with water at Tok, we're headed to the border and into a lot more construction. The only good thing about all this construction is that when you all get ready to make an Alaskan trip, you'll be having a lot better roads and maybe a lot less construction. They will someday have good roads in Canada and Alaska as we are used to.
